Life is good right now...

'Wicked Cravings' is now in the hands of my editor! Hopefully she'll be fully happy with it, and then we'll move on to the copyediting phase. The new version of 'Feral Sins' (totally the same other than errors have been corrected and the group scene has been replaced by a scene between Taryn and Trey) has had all the typos edited out of it and will soon move on to the production stage. So happy it's all moving along nicely!

I'm now working on the follow-on book to 'Here Be Sexist Vampires' (currently untitled) which is great because I've missed The Hollow. I'm also having 'Here Be Sexist Vampires' proofread by a professional to fix all the typos, and then I'll re-release it - I've wanted to do that for a while, but there has been so much going on that I haven't had the time!

My daughter is officially potty trained and has been for a few weeks now. The secret? Balloons. I told her that everytime she used the potty, she could have a balloon. My house soon ended up full of them. She also now sleeps the entire night in her own bed, no waking up looking for mummy and daddy. Not that I now have a great night's sleep - my son sleepwalks all the time. I tell ya, it's freaky when you wake up in the middle of the night with someone looming over you.

I just want to say thanks to those of you who've tweeted me with some really great comments! Really appreciate it.

Take care everyone!

Suzanne

  3. Still not sure yet - it's killing me not knowing. I didn't realise just how long the production process is, though I probably should have. Take care!

  4. Just wanted to tell you I've read Here Be Sexist Vampires and Feral Sins several times and I have enjoyed them every time. I really admire your talent for character development through out your stories. After reading your comments at the end of Here Be Sexist Vampires, I finally mustered the courage to self publish myself ( Customs and Obsessed) through Amazon. I have to ask, does the anxiety from wondering what the public reader will think of your writings ever go away? Thansk for the inspiration.

    1. Hi Alia, congratulations on writing and self-publishing your own work! I understand your anxiety, but just remind yourself that no matter what you write or how well you write it, not everyone is going to like it because everyone is different. What one person thinks of as romantic another person will think is corny, and what one person finds funny another person might be offended by. There's no getting around it, so try not to let it get to you or to take it personally. How many times have you read a book that others liked but you didn't? There was no malicious reason why you didn't like it, you just didn't. I write the kind of books that I like to read and then I just hope that others will too. If they didn't, at least I was true to myself when I wrote my book - that's all you should ever ask of yourself. Good luck with everything, and congratulations once again! Oh and thanks for buying my books! Take care!

  5. I really love your books, keep re-reading them. I tried reading Feral Sins to my husband, but my voice didn't compair to my internal Taryn and Trey voices, so it sounded just aweful. I am so glad you are writing (or done with?) Dante's story and I just re-read Sexist Vamps, so I am very excited you are going to work on the next of those. All of your characters come to life for me and I fell like I know them, crazy good writing. Thank you.
